my photo
it was an ...
itsy, bitsy, teenie, weenie, yellow polka dot bikini ...
Wasn't I so the cutting edge of fashion, wearing blue polka dot bottoms!
I could do with them today, not forgetting the top half!
It's a scorcher!
This is me and my 'big bro' down on the coast, back in the late sixties/early seventies?
Click on the photo above, to hear a crackly old recording of this classic tune on You Tube.

I love that old tune Louise! I like your polka dot bikini - it is better than the orange stretch towelling swimsuit that I had as a child that stretched about 3 times as big when wet!!! It is a scorcher today isn't it? x
phew! I can't cope with this heat - I wish I could wear a bikini!! you look so cheeky on that photo!

A scorcher? We must be opposites! Today was one of our first really cool days this year here in Adelaide. (16 degrees) What is a scorcher (for May) to you?
What a cutie!! I know I'm a moaning Minnie, but crikey it's too hot for me !!! I'm more of a Winter gal myself.

Ah, Louise, don't you look like you were having the best time ever?
I wish we could all prance around in flimsy clothes in this weather, because even the cotton summer dresses are too hot sometimes... ah to be a kid again!
Great photo Louise and I'm impressed with the clever way you linked to the old tune.
It was certainly a scorcher this weekend - everything wilted in my south-west facing garden - including me!

Make hay whilst the sun shines! Isn't it a treat!
What a cute photo! I heard from my sister that England was having some pretty warm weather. It is pretty chilly over here. I think we have had a bit of everything this past week. Sure wouldn't mind a little bit of your warm weather.
Enjoy it while it lasts.

It was a lovely weekend wasn't it - hub wants to go camping next week so if we do I hope mr sun comes back :-).
Great photo! I remember that song - I also remember having a little blue swimsuit with white fishes on it - those were the days:)
What a style queen you were at such a tender age..
I had a similar number .. topless and with strawberries and polka dots on the bottoms.
Lovely memories especially with the crackle on the gramaphone.
