Please say hello ... I love comments!
my photosall nice things come in pretty packages ...Look at what I received through the post, on this very special leap year day of 29th February. The goodies above, all wrapped up in pink tissue and bow.
I ordered these lovely pegs only a couple of days ago from Lucy Bloom, half are magnetic to stick on your fridge/freezer and half are to use as bag clips. They are so pretty and the blue gingham goes very well in my kitchen. Thanks Lucy for the little pomander heart and fizzers too!
my photoa de-cluttering spring clean ...I don't know about you, but as soon as the daffodils appear I feel it is time to have a good clear out of rubbish. I am in the clutter, clutters up my head camp, does clutter affect you! I personally, just can't function properly around it, and until I have done something about it, only then can I get my head around the thought of doing something else. There are many books you can buy on this very subject, but I am sure everyone knows what to do, it just takes time for one thing, and commitment to get the job done, another. Anyway, I am on the lookout for some more cheap large storage baskets etc to put the things I can't get rid of, at this moment in time, away.In the meantime I have settled on buying this set of tins from Tesco, for £2! They match my kitchen colour scheme perfectly. I don't like Tesco as a rule, but they do every so often come up trumps with their homeware.
my photodon't you just love the spring ...I am so pleased with these ceramic pots of tete a tete bought this morning on a trip to Tesco, two for £4. The yellow pot will go to brighten up the bedroom and the white one looks clean and crisp in the kitchen.
my photo
feeling blue ...
For all of us who live in the South of England we may be in for a let up from the rain over the next few days, let's hope for some dry, clear days with blue skies. These miserable, grey, cloudy days can really start to get you down. Many of you have had really debilating bugs too, so I hope you all feel better soon.
Gina from Gingerbread was interested in seeing my twig lights lit up, so here they are in their full glory!Since writing this post we have had two lovely days, clear skies, sunny but frosty cold. I love days like this.
my photosmy cosy haven of a home ...The nights are drawing in and what better time to make your home a cosy haven, perfect for chilling out and relaxing. You really don't need to spend a lot, accessories go a long way to transforming a room. Above, you can see my lovely salt lamp which J discovered for me in Lidl, I have had it a few years now and it has started to split down the middle, hardly surprising as formed from a natural substance. I will be upset when it has to go, but hopefully we will discover another one to replace it.
You can't tell by this picture, but these battery operated blossoms from M&S, a present from my mother-in-law, give off a blue twinkly glow in the dark, so pretty.
And last but not least, these lovely twig lights, bought from Tchibo a few weeks back, for under £10, run off the mains, and they make the corner by the fireplace give off a nice warm glow.Feeling toasty yet?
