my photos
the Twelve Apostles, Vic, Aus ...
Spectacular limestone stacks that have formed over twenty million years.
Erosion has created fascinating gorges and shapes in the nearby cliffs.
Originally the site was called the Sow and Piglets!
When you see the rugged cliffs and rocks jutting up from the sea, you can understand how the region came to be named the Shipwreck Coast.

Oh, how beautiful is that! The striation reminds me of the red rock in Zion or Bryce Canyon in Utah.

Amazing photos, Louise.

Thank for that ... reminds me of when we went along the Great Ocean Road ... but the big question is how many apostles are there now as the stacks fall and new ones are formed. Did you see what was, I think, London Bridge where the bridge collapsed and people were stranded on the stack overnight? Yikes.
Wonderful photos, they remind me of the north Cornwall coast! Flighty xx
Stunning photos, Louise - had wondered where you were - now I know - looks like you had a wonderful visit to Australia:)
I'm not stalking your Louise...honest! ....just having a nice scroll backwards through lots of interesting photos....
