my photo

filmstar good looks ...

I am slowly sorting through a collection of family photos and I came across this one. Do you recognise this man with filmstar good looks? Probably not, it is my Grandad on my dad's side. This photo was a postcard would you believe, although not sent. I wonder if he kept it to woo my Granny with?

Hi Louise

I've noticed that many old photos were printed on postcards ~ I wonder if they were the best quality paper available at the time?

Your Grandad was a handsome man.

Thanks for your good wishes for my show. Have a good weekend and I hope to 'see' you when it is all over.

Your bunny bundle went off this morning, the post office trip had to be aborted yesterday afternoon as I got a call from school to collect a sick younger daughter!

Hi, Louise, thank you so much for your good wishes. I'm feeling much better already.
What a handsome man! I've a formal black and white photo of my dad taken when he was chairman of the local NFU. My sister only reamrked the other day what a good photo it is. I must get it copied so that we can all have one...it's difficult when there's six siblings, but we try to share.

I was going to write, "Dashing" however I see Miss Michele already beat me to it. I have to ask, "What was he thinking about." He looks like he is in deep thought. A wonderfully handsome man!

Hi Louise, what a wonderful photo, he looks very dashing and reminds me of someone, but I can't think who. Very film star-ish.

I've got some lovely ones of my Grandad that are printed on postcards. They were taken in the 1920's when he was in the army in India.
Old photos are so precious and evocative :)
Thanks for sharing,

Lesley xx

He certainly is a good looking man. I always enjoy seeing pictures of my good looking ancestors and seeing where my stunning good looks came from. ;p
