IS WHERE THE HEART IS ...
I will have four garments, they shall be clean, my service shall be good, though my diet mean.
Then I shall have excess to give to the poor, and right to counsel beggars at my door.

I saw this on the news and it was so sad to see it destroyed, we used to go there for school trips when I lived in England. They did not say on our news why it caught fire, do they know?
I am getting confused with piers, this pier was destroyed some years ago, is that right? Weston Super Mare has recently burnt down? It's so sad, I grew up in the North West so we had Southport, Blackpool and Llandudno piers. They have a magic all of their own. This is a great image that you have created, it reminds me of Whistler, very moody.
Great image but sad too. I love piers and it's so sad there are so few left. I think there is a British Pier Society.

I love The Piers too Louise...how sad that in the future the original ones will all have gone.
There is always a quietness on the Piers even above all the noise that is happening.

I went to Brighton only last week. Why is it that it seems to always be historical features that this happens to and never horrid new buildings?
I lived in Brighton for three years, about 15 years ago. I was always very fond of the West pier, even in its state of decay. I could swear I heard a band playing in the wind that whistled through it....
black and white photography just really sets the mood, doesn't it? Very nice photo.
It looks like a very old photo! I like it. xx
A sad story, but a very effective picture. Thanks also for the info re the process you used in Photoshop.
such a sad and a little creepy picture, it has sense of death all around it, oh what a jolly little comment, sorry I did not mean it like that...it has its own beauty...yes that reads better....
