slugs and snails, and daffodils (well narcissi actually) ...

I was really pleased with this find in the charity shop today, a lovely jug originally from Whittards from the 'designed by Beth' range. What puzzles me is how these lovely, which look like brand new objects, end up on a charity shop shelf? Maybe the owner of this jug, just didn't like the thought of slimy slugs and snails?

After yesterday's snowfall, some of my narcissi had been flattened by the weight of the snow. I don't usually pick them, as they last longer if left outside, but these little beauties (tazetta geranium) have got such a gorgeous scent, I had a good excuse to bring a few blooms indoors.

It's a lovely jug and beautiful narcissi. My garden flowers are slowly recovering from yesterday, the poor things

I want to come to your charity shop! That jug is adorable and the flowers look so good in it. I definitely would have bought that jug if I had seen it.

Perhaps people donate the items they don't really appreciate in hopes that the items will make their way into the hands of someone who will? I like to think of it that way when I donte goods.

I just love spring flowers too. Just looking at your picture makes me take in a deep breath and smell the flowers.

Proving yourself to be a true gardener... they always look better i their natural environment but its nice to bring the outdoors in on occasion!
I love the jug/vase, it appeals to me... It may have lived a long and happy life with someone who hno longer needs it... they hopes of it going to a better home have been answered!
The snow looks to have been beaten by the sunshine here. We only had the one day of it and it did look pretty! I especially enjoyed watching the big old wood pigeon digging in the snow trying to find the few nuts that had been hidden.

It's a lovely jug...I have two bowls from that range - one with pumpkins & the other with tomatoes & they look lovely filled up with fresh garden produce.

Hi Louise

What a terrific find! I too am amazed at what I find at charity shops, but happy that people are so generous as to donate what they no longer need/want. I try to do the same and intend having a good clearout of my wardrobe this week!
