my photos

a great giveaway, and all for me ...

What a marvellous Monday it has turned out to be! This morning I received a parcel post haste from Sal at Sal's Snippets, inside being the great prize I won on her book title competition giveaway:) Inside one lovely pink gift bag, I pulled out a great selection of craft bits, including the very pretty letters above. Having worked with typefaces for a good many years, I am really going to enjoy playing with these ...

... and all of these wonderful tags (see that lovely polka dot one), which I am going to have hours of fun with. I have always wanted to give making tags a try, so these are going to give me a really good start. And there was more, three lovely pieces of great vintage print material, which I shall give a mention in another post.

Sal has been very generous and I want to thank her very much. Louise x

Oh much fun to be had with this lot!
I could really do with your typesetting expertise... Typeface is the bane of my life.. so much choice and not a clue which to choose.
I can feel a Blue Peter moment coming on with those labels!!

Hi Louise
Its lovely to receive surprises in the post isn't it - its like christmas all year round - making tags had never occured to me, other than cutting round christmas cards with pinking shears when I was younger to make christmas tags, but I shall definitely be giving it a go - thanks for the photo posting tips! - Natalie x

Hi Louise - I really like your blog - I wanted to reply to your comments on Rachael Rabbit - but I couldn't find a e-mail address for you. I particularly like all the inspirational sayings and poems that run down the right hand side of your blog ... I might have to steal the poem about chocolate easter bunnies!! My mother still lives in West Sussex ... and I went to Bishop Luffa in Chichester for 3 years ... that seems like such a long time ago! I'll be back - take care - Rachael x

oh, lucky you, well done!

I got my goodies today too from a Pay it Forward I am playing...such fun.

From your question Louise..."Stove Top" is the brand name of a type of packaged stuffing....ick...it tastes about as flavourful as the box it comes in. I would have been totally disappointed had I bought the stuffed loin... I happen to love my own stuffing... just like Mom's used to be....

Just found you. Congratualtions, much prefer post like that than bills. You have a very interesting side bar, lots to look at Sorry if that sounds odd but it was fun to browse through as well as the posts.
