just a normal day at the office ...
I went to work yesterday, nothing unusual I hear you say, but yesterday was different, I went to work for the last time, after spending 25 years and one day working within the same establishment. Gold watch, I hear you say, well no, you have to do 3o years to get that!
Recently I think I told a few of you that I had two little secrets which I must keep, well our amazing trip to Australia was one of them, and this was the other. I knew I was leaving well before Christmas but as my last day wasn't until the end of February, I thought I would just keep you in suspense for a little while longer! I apologise if you thought I may be getting married or having a baby, but these two events in my life have been pretty major, the trip took months of planning, and leaving my job at least a month of soul searching, both co-inciding with each other!
What I am going to do next, I do not know, but as soon as I do know, I can assure you all will be the first to know, well at least the person who clicks on my post first will be!

Good for you! I never did anywhere near that many years at one place.
As for what you do next well I'm sure that you've some idea, and if not then spend some time gardening, and relaxing, whilst you do decide.
Take care xx
Wow, 25 years! Hope your last day was one of the best:)
:o)
I'm sure you'll look back and think that today was the first step towards something very exciting!
All the best
Celia

Wow, 25 years at one place is quite an accomplishments - esp these days. Hope you have many wonderful adventures!
Hi Louise, you've certainly done your time at work. How exciting to be able to do something new. Sure you'll find fresh projects...but enjoy any time you get for yourself...you deserve it!
Congrats on the retirement! Now you can completely focus on what makes you happy. I think that is wonderful. 25 years is a long time to work in one job. Now you get to sit back, relax, and enjoy the rest of your life without pesky work getting in the way....
25 years, that's amazing. I know you'll find something that'll grab your fancy very soon. Hope you have some time to enjoy your freedom for a while. Take care

Wow. I wish you good luck. I have a friend who did something like that about 4 years ago and she is happy about her choice, so I think you will be too.
Congratulations and bravo for your courage! So many good things lie ahead!
You'll be so busy and have so much fun you will wish you had done it much sooner....
I am still trying to figure out how to squeeze a few more hours into each day.... !!
Ooh how exciting!! I wonder what lies ahead!! The world's your oyster!! Good luck with whatever you choose to do next! :-)

I hope the day went well, I had been thinking of you. It sounds a very exciting time. Captain Rupert and Mixer seem to get on fine, he enjoys washing all my softies. I'm not really sure about rabbit saliva on them but it looks so sweet and he does not have a rabbit friend to wash.
Ooh, so many changes. Best of luck on whatever you do next. Give me some tips when you do find something interesting, now, okay? I could use a few...
Congratulations! you must take the time to keep busy and do stuff that YOU want to do. Cooking, gardening, creative things.. please yourself, but keep busy!
Congratulations on starting a new and exciting chapter in your life, Louise! ~ hugs, Lynda xox
Well done for having the courage to make such a detour in your life! It sounds exciting! I think you'll have to plan another trip down under in the future and make sure Tassie is part of the itinerary!
Looking forward to following your next steps! :O) Gina x
