coastal ways ...

Today we cycled to Brighton. On the way back we stopped to take in the views and to mop up the lovely sunshine.

Houseboats sitting on mud flats, on the River Adur at Shoreham.

Yachts taking advantage of excellent sailing water along this stretch of coastline at Lancing.

Sea thrift on the shingle beach.

You really can't beat the British countryside..It has been a perfect day here and when the weather is this good.. why travel abroad. I think we'll stay put in old Blighty for a few years to come..
I think I went to Shoreham when I was at West Dean College back in the 80's..It certainly looks familiar.. just wish my memory was a bit better these days.
Have a good week Louise.. and thank you for your message.
Wish we were seeing you at the V & H.

Louise! I love that: "mop up the sunshine" A perfect way to spend the day. That shot of the yachts and the summery blue waters is just splendid.

What a delightful day out. I've always fancied living in a houseboat and the ones you photographed seem to be in the perfect place.

I wonder if you get seasick living on a houseboat?
