these three kittens ...

So lucky their meows were heard. These three dear kittens were recently found dumped in a wheelie bin in the Worthing area.

Who could do such a thing?

Cruelty or desperation?

many years ago I rescued 2 kittens who were about to be drowned . We kept one , who just happened to look like the kitten on the right . At least they were found in time

It's shocking isn't it? We've just had a report in our local paper of an elderly blind poodle being kidnapped, and tied to the railway line very tightly by bailer twine. Fortunately the poor dog was spotted in time and rescued.
Are you going to have a kitten?

How terrible and heartless! I hope they all find good homes. Cats are such wonderful pets -- I treasure my guy.

There is no excuse! There are so many animal charities that take in animals now, and many people willing to give a good home to an animal. People who do this kind of thing are selfish and lack morals. If they didn't want kittens then they should be responsible enough to get their cat neutured. If they can't afford it there are organisations that will do it at a reduced rate or free of charge. They are lovely looking kitties by the way!

Hi Louise, I did not recognize your new avatar, very nice it is too.

Poor little kittens, I have friends who run a local animal rescue, stories like this abound. At least this one had a happy ending!

It's just cruelty I think. And I am not a cat person. (Mostly because I am allergic to cats and get ill when I spend any time in a "cat house".) To do that to any living being is so wrong.

Oh how terrible - my 4 1/2 yr old saw the picture (I didn't tell him the circumstances) and he said "I wish I could cuddle one of them." Too bad everyone doesn't feel that way about animals.

Once upon a time folk used to drown them.

I just saw your poll, Louise, but I'm at a disadvantage! I love olives and I have no earthly idea what the other two choices are!

oh bless them..what a meany to do that.I wonder if the owners were turned away from the cats home, I know the ones round here are chocablock full but it's still absolutely no excuse to put them in a bin.
When our very young cat fell pregnant before she was booked in to be 'done' we kept the kittens as we felt responsible..which is why I have to wade through a sea of furry creatures to get to the fridge..we have 5!!

How sad that someone couldn't even be bothered to find them a home.

I like the Wartime Memories button in your sidebar ~ did you create it? Would it be o.k. to add it to my blog?

Mean mean mean. They look so sweet. We have just got ourselves a new kitten called Toby. Cant imagine just dumping him somewhere. You have to have no heart to do that.

I would say cruelty!
Who could do such a thing!? There is always a home somewhere that would love and cherish such gorgeous creatures...
How about yours?
Mr Pickles would not be impressed if I bought home a junior version.

P.s Thank you Louise for your kind words..

Either way it's so unnecessary! Thankfully I'm sure that now they'll end in good homes with loving owners. xx

oh they are so cute, who would do this? Hopefully they will find some loving homes!

I don't understand what kind of a mind someone would have to do something so cruel. I am so glad these little kitties are safe.

People..... especially the stupid, the ignorant or the downright lazy... make me crazy. Anybody with half a brain could think up several better options....

Oh no! How sad.. they are so sweet. poor wee things.
It is beyond me how people can be so cruel. At least if you find you can't cope then be responsible and find a new home for them is what i think people should do.
I look at our 2 kittens now just over 6 months old and i can't believe that someone dumped them in a bin just 6 weeks ago. They are beautiful boys and are such a part of our family now. Please let us know what happens to the little trio of kitties.
much love
