Just being ME

Please say hello ... I love comments!

my photos

the Boxing Day Dippers ...

As viewed from the Pier, in extreme conditions!

For a different effect, I saved this group of images as Outline in Photoshop.

It gives a Lowry-esque finish of sorts.

Just as Lowry observed, these images capture the spirit of recreation.
Lowry spent many of his childhood holidays by the sea.
L S Lowry, is an Icon of England.

We have a group from Boston that take a dive in the frigid Atlantic. They are called The L Street Brownies. I think next weekend is the expected dip.

Cold! I haven't even been for a dip here yet. It hasn't been very hot here yet. Most unusual, but very welcome. Forecast for 23 here today. The photos do have a really painterly look about them!

What a fantastic effect you have captured with these photos Louise. You are clever! And I've only just got to grips with mosaics:-))

Brave souls those Boxing Day dippers

Hope your Christmas was joyful.

Gives me the shivers just thinking about it! Great photos and effects, Louise. There is a Polar Bear swim here each New Year's Day (or so they say ~ I've never actually seen it live;))

PS ~ not really Polar Bears ~ they are foolish people wearing bathing suits. I just thought I'd better clarify that in case you think I live in the far frozen north with the Polar Bears ;)

Oh Hi Louise, nice to 'meet' you! I just stumbled across both your blogs and had a nice little look around:) We are in subtropical Australia, so I find your images just so heartwarming and, well, iconic English! Especially the snow pics. And the garden pics. Of course I followed for you, looking forward to more; and don't worry we all need a hiatus from blogging occasionally. Do hop on over & visit me @ http://louandjane.blogspot.com/ All the best & happy new year to you, Jane:)
