When I was a child we had bluebell woods in our village and we children would walk in them and pick the bluebells for our Mums - they were very wilted by the time they arrived home - usually to be placed in a milk bottle in the kitchen window by a delighted Mum:)Rosiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04733563829902335223noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3842020420169015671.post-7861622559202165912010-05-06T12:01:11.976+01:002010-05-06T12:01:11.976+01:00I think you're probably right about keeping th...I think you're probably right about keeping the coat on a little longer, I was completely fooled by that fabulous weather a couple of weeks ago and got my Summer clothes out! Such a pretty walk you've been on, we too have been on our bluebell pilgrimage this weekend.

Kateharmony and rosiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06514921461051048885noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3842020420169015671.post-46904062809403516162010-05-05T15:04:02.043+01:002010-05-05T15:04:02.043+01:00the bluebells are still teetering round here - don...the bluebells are still teetering round here - don't we live on a fantastic island!

Kath
xJuicyFighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08834650999779836971noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3842020420169015671.post-71233489860464718862010-05-05T09:39:58.940+01:002010-05-05T09:39:58.940+01:00Goodness I enjoyed this - thankyou SO much for sho...Goodness I enjoyed this - thankyou SO much for showing us the wild flowers, and especially the bluebells. I also remember picking wild Primroses and Cowslips and proudly bringing them home to my mother. She would put them in little empty jam jars. Then they would have a place of honour on the kitchen window sill so she could enjoy them while she washed the dishes.
Lovely post Louise.
xLizzieJanehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13056286752001815522noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3842020420169015671.post-58129741131583952922010-05-04T14:23:18.420+01:002010-05-04T14:23:18.420+01:00Beautiful pictures Louise. I don't think picking wild bluebells is allowed anymore but we were always told it was ok as long as you didn't pull out the roots. My garden has the French variety of bluebell that seems to have colonised. Sadly there is not an English bluebell to be seen! xSimonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02766240849932971541noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3842020420169015671.post-91338067744851328142010-05-04T10:30:39.498+01:002010-05-04T10:30:39.498+01:00What a lovely day out - I do so adore the Bluebell...What a lovely day out - I do so adore the Bluebell Woods, they are so magical.
